Nike Mind 001 Team Red: the red that isn't afraid of blue

The Nike Mind 001 Team Red is the boldest colorway the Mind range has produced since its launch. Deep burgundy red on the surface — a red that borders on brown, dense, saturated, almost masculine — which gradually awakens towards the forefoot into a brighter and more vibrant University red. The sculpted side columns capture light with particular intensity in this colorway, while the 22 Midnight Navy nodes under the sole create an unexpected and perfectly calibrated navy blue counterpoint. The silver chrome Swoosh on the side discreetly contrasts with all this red, adding the premium touch that elevates this colorway above a simple recovery mule. Released on April 2, 2026, the Mind 001 Team Red confirmed that Nike had no intention of playing it safe with this range.

22 sensory nodes: invisible performance

At the heart of the Nike Mind 001 Team Red is the same revolutionary technology as the entire collection: 22 independent foam nodes per shoe, integrated into a flexible waterproof sole. With each step, these nodes compress and rise like pistons and gimbals — here in their Midnight Navy version — stimulating the sensory receptors on the sole of the foot to activate brain areas linked to concentration and recovery. Developed by the Nike Mind Science Department over more than a decade in collaboration with hundreds of top athletes, this neuroscientific technology makes every step an intentional act, whether before stepping onto a field or after crossing a finish line. The molded one-piece upper, perforated for breathability, dresses the foot in a laceless slip-on. At the bottom, the "Nike Mind Science Department" marking reminds us that behind the aesthetics, there is science.
